We recently visited this store for a last minute purchase! We’re from the Scottish Borders and accidentally arrived without a pram during our day trip, due to this we thought it would be beneficial to upgrade our daughter’s trike which she could use for our family day out. We fully expected to purchase a trike and leave building it ourselves in the car park. Ross the assistant couldn’t have been better! He stayed with us from start to finish, recommending which one and helping us to the till. To my disbelief Ross helped build our trike while interacting with our daughter! We really didn’t expect such great customer service as we’ve visited this store before and unfortunately didn’t have the same experience. Ross made our trip fun and one to remember! Shopping with a 1.5 year old can be challenging and he made us feel completely at ease, as first time parents who don’t shop in town often this meant a lot to us. Thank you and will definitely be back thanks to him!

My 18 year old daughter who is disabled just tried to buy her brother a present and on arriving at the car realised she had the wrong batteries. She asked politely if she could change them at 18.59 and was told to come back tomorrow. On explaining she lived 90 minutes away she was allowed in whilst what can only be the manager said as she walked past- so she could hear ‘for god sakes this is ridiculous the staff need to get home’ making her feel incredibly uncomfortable. We are told to be kind and understanding to our retail staff at these times. This goes both ways!!

Massive toy store in Edinburgh Smith’s serving Edinburgh people for years, we use this place since the baby toys to Nintendo games now. Big range in store, you may order online and collect here. Staffs never smile, possibly due to the work pressure. Always crowded so hold your kids or keep an eye at all the times. I feel this place is a bit pricy.

Security guard in the place is rude as hell. I appreciate people doing their job but he's on a power trip. Purposely stares you down. He walked between myself and my kids and was literally 30cm away from me Swaggering past. We purchased some toys and he came up behind us at till and asked the cashier what we bought. We overheard and said "we can show you the receipt". He just stared rudely at us and walked away. Just buy online. I hate saying it but do.
